Astrology is Scientific

The Stars and Planets surrounded by their own magnetic and gravitational fields are radiating energy into space. They emit the rays of light and the Earth receives this light. These rays coming from the Sun, Moon, Planets and Stars, all separately influence the physical, environmental, mental and spiritual status of all beings. This light also affects the unforeseen future. These light energies of the planets penetrate into the organism of human beings for performing particular actions.

Human organisms capture energy from the light rays emanating from the planets through the nerves and tissues.Human organism is a bundle of nerves and tissues.A multitude of inter actions is taking place between organisms and their physical environment. There are more than 100 billion nerve cells in the brain, each one connected to thousands of others. The Indian mythology admits the existence of thirty-three crores of nerves in a human body. Communication between the cells never stops. Each one can send unto 300 electrical signals every second. The brain is active even in sleep but in a different way. It does not register the usual messages from the senses. The electrical pulses are messengers carrying information about the outside world to the brain and instructions from the brain to the rest of the body.

The current of energy is being transmitted in between the nerves. Nerves are laid one after another in the form of casing and there are interlacing of nerves of finer nature and dimensions. The tissues are made out of atoms and there exists an intervening space between two atoms. This space between two atoms inside a Nerve makes a hollow canal or a capillary bore. Every distinct atom in this capillary bore remains in a state of oscillation or vibration. The process of oscillation, vibration and combustion produces the imbedded energy whereby the incessant course of motion of that particular nerve is formed. The current of energy is thus being transmitted in between the nerves of different groups. Human beings are unaware of these fine nerves, since the majority of them are in abeyance and dormant. The sensation is quick and is most sensitive on any nerve ending in the different organs of a body.

Nerve cells or neutrons can transmit electrical messages at high speed. Each neutron has several input devices called "Dendrites' along which message travel into the main cell. Leading out from the cell is a single output, the axon. This connects to another nerve or to a muscle of another cell. Neutrons do not touch one another. Messages cross the gap or synapse between one Neutron and the next with the help of a chemical. Outside the brain, the neutrons connect to each other in simple pathways. But within the brain itself, the neutrons are inter-connected in an amazingly complex network. Only some of these billions upon billions of inter-connections are ever used. But new pathways are always opening up as we have new experiences, learn new things and lay down new memories.

One nerve did not carry two sensations or multiplicity of sensations. The scientists removed by fine instruments, one special nerve of the tip of the finger of some living animals-a cat, a dog and a human being and found that the sensation of heat was lost. Like this, when another nerve was removed, sensation of coldness was lost. Thus by removing different nerves, different sensations were lost. The vivisection proved that each nerve was made for one particular sensation and the removal of a particular nerve will destroy the particular sensation. Thus it was found that one nerve did not carry two sensations or multiplicity of sensations.

the 6th sense: Most animals have eyes, which give them a picture of their surroundings. Most animals pick up sounds with ear in their head. The sense of taste is closely linked with the sense of smell. These two senses allow animals to find food, to send messages to one another and to avoid things that are harmful. Mammals use their nose for smelling things, snakes smell with their tongue and moths with their antennae. Octopuses taste with their tentacles and flies taste with their feet. Some animals can detect electricity, magnetism, water vibrations and heat. Birds use their magnetic sense to help them find their way when they migrate. Most fish have special lateral lines along the sides of their bodies that help them to pick up vibrations in the water. Sharks can pick up electrical signals from the Nucleus of fish to help them zoom in on their prey with deadly accuracy. Thus all the animals, birds possess 5 senses namely seeing, hearing.tasting, smelling and touching. Only the human beings are blessedwith the 6th sense-Rational Mind-the sense enabling a man differentiate good and bad, mother and wife, etc.

Astrological Almanac

almanac

The Hindus, the Romans, the Egyptians and the Chinese lived together in Central Asia in pre-historic times. They developed common ideas on the heavenly bodies and they had a common language. The Mystic and legendary knowledge was used by the ancients to transfer the esoteric knowledge from one generation to another.

A cycle of 60 years was developed which was a combination of a period of 12 years of the biggest Planet, the "Jupiter" and a period of 5 years from the Vedas. The history of Chinese emperors was written with reference to the cycle of 60 years with effect from 2757 B.C.The Period of 60 years was in use by the Chaldeans under the name 'Sosos.'

Indian Astronomy relates to the period more than 3,000 years before Christ. A general conjunction of the Sun, Moon and the Planets took place at the midnight between 17th and 18th of Feb,3102 B.C.The Hindus declared this time as the beginning of the epoch 'kaliyuga' The Hindus had many other epochs carrying their calculations to much earlier periods. The "Kalpa" was a period of 4,320,000,000 years. A period of 4,320,000 years was the Maha Yuga.Any one of the epochs can be considered for computing the mean places of the Sun, Moon and the planets.

Accurate astronomical records and tables were constructed in ancient India, called "Panchangam" (Almanac) in Tamil language. The basic astronomical information are codified into five measurements namely Varanas(days),Nakshatras(stars),Thithis(Phase of Moon),Karanas(half of the Phase of Moon), and yogas(combinations generated from the positions of Sun and Moon) listing out the daily starting and ending times of all five of theses Soli-lunar limbs thus acting as juxtaposer of the rythms of the liminaries, the Sun and the Moon.

The earliest yet discovered almanac is a set of markings recorded on mammoth bones about 30,000 years ago which appear to elucidate the phsase of the Moon.Writtem Almanac originated in the 18th century B.C.in the form of Babylonian clay tablets which list equinoxes, solstices, eclipses and lunar phases.

The time between one Sun Rise and the next is called a Solar Day.The time taken by the Sun to pass from one vernal equinox to the next,i.e.a period of 363-2422 days is known as tropical year.Equinox is the time when day and night are equal and at which the Sun crosses the equator. The time taken by the Sun to pass through all the 12 constellations of the Zodiac,i.e.a period of 365.2564 days is known as Sideral Year.Either of the two is called a Solar year.

The time taken by the Moon to traverse either on thithi or one Nakshatra is called a Lunar day.The time taken by the Moon to pass through all the 12 constellations of the Zodiac,i.e.a period of 27.3217 days is called a Sideral Month. The time taken by the Moon to go from one New Moon to the Next,i.e.a period of 29.5306 days,is called a Synodic Month.Either of the two is called a Lunar Month.

Calendar makers realized that the Lunar and Solar years could be synchronized because the difference between 36 synodic months and three solar years amount to roughly 29 days or approximately one synodic month. The gregarian Calendar is synchronized on these line by making every four years a Leap Year.Indian Calendars add one additional or intercalary lunar month every two and two third years or so to synchronise the cycles of Sun and the Moon. This modification makes astrology irrevocably Soli-Lunar,rather than either Solar or entirely Lunar. Astrology is a Science: Bombay High Court

The Bombay High Court on Thursday dismissed a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) seeking a ban on articles, advertisements, episodes and practices, promoting astrology and related subjects like Vastu,Reiki,Feng Shui,Tarot,Palmistry and Zodiac signs. The PIL also had called for action against bogus astrologers, tantriks and vastu Shastra Practitioners.

A division bench of Chie Justice Mohit Shah and Justice S.J.Vajifdar heard the PIL that an NGO had filed. The PIL questioned the validity of astrological predictions.

The Supreme Court has already considered the issue and ruled that astrology is a science. The court had in 2004 also directed the universities to consider if astrology science can be added to the syllabus.”The decision of the apex court is binding on this court”,observed the Judges. The Judges also took on record a Central Government Affidavit that described astrology as a 4,000 year old trusted science that does not fall under the Drugs and Magical Remedies(Objectionable Advertisements) Act’s purview.”The Act does not cover astrology and related sciences”said the affidavit.Deputy Drug Controller(West Zone) Dr.R.Ramakrishnan had filed it.

“The Act is aimed at prohibiting misleading advertisements relating to drugs and magical remedies. The Act does not cover and /or relate to astrology and / or allied sciences like Palmistry,Vaastu shastra, etc.” it said.”In view thereof,a purported ban on practices promoting astrology and related sciences sought by the petitioner is totally misconceived and unjustifiable.”

The Petition said Indira Gandhi and Charan Singh became Prime Ministers despite predictions to the contrary.

The Union Government’s lawyer told the court that the Supreme Court accepted astrology as science and that many universities had included it in the curriculum.
