Similarities between
The departed Souls and the Planets Rahu and Ketu
The Divine people have regarded Rahu and Ketu as planets for astrological purpose. In reality, Rahu and Ketu have no physical existence at all. Technically speaking, the two points of intersection of the path of Earth around the Sun and the path of the Moon around the Earth. The Northern Intersection is called Rahu and the Southern Intersection is called Ketu.
An in-depth study and analysis of the characteristic nature of these two planets disclose their affinity to spiritual activities. Their temperament seems to be eccentric and explosive. These planets possess shady characters and are troublemakers. These planets represent poison, alcohol and other intoxicants, involvement with the masses and juggling and deal with the sinners, wrong doers, enemies and take vengeance on them. These planets act without any kind of thinking. The relationship is explained as 'Maternal grand parents' for Rahu and 'Paternal grand parents' for Ketu.In mythology, Rahu represents a human head without a body and Ketu represents a human body without a head.
Rahu and Ketu are put in at an equal distance and both revolve in an anti-clockwise direction. i.e. opposite to the direction of other planets. These planets follow human beings like a shadow and influence and induce them to do particular activities as per the dictations of Karma. These two planets are considered as most powerful planets amongst all.
There is some sort of similarities between the departed Souls and the Planets Rahu and Ketu. They resemble each other in attitude, character, conduct and profession. The departed Soul lie between the Sun and the Moon and just as the Earth turns, their plane also changes accordingly. Higher spirits who are in full control of the entire atmospheric world controls the departed Souls. The Souls are engaged in different works like human beings. The only difference is that they cannot enjoy the happiness of the five 'indriyas' namely seeing, hearing, speaking, smelling and touching. The spirits wander from one place to another and fulfill their desires through mortal bodies. A departed Soul having taste for a particular kind of food, selects his medium and induces him to eat more than usual and thus gets satisfied. The Souls enter into the minds of living people and induce them to do a particular work. There are different planes and those who are in heaven send their thoughts through highly cultured Souls on a lower level or plane.
Therefore, it is our firm conclusion that Rahu and Ketu are nothing but Spiritual Identities possessing enormous powers to induce a man to do particular activities as per the dictations of DESTINY( Karma.)
